Play Rocket League from a first person perspective

First Person Rocket League Plugin - version 0.8

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THIS IN PRIVATE MATCHES DOWN BELOW

This plugin changes the player's camera position and rotation to align to the hood of the car in freeplay or other offline modes.

Please report any bugs to @CinderBlock#1234 on discord, or in the bakkesmod discord server.

USAGE:

  • Press F2 or whatever your bakkesmod in-game menu button is.
  • Go to the Plugins tab and find First Person Camera.
  • Click "Load" to load the plugin in case it isn't auto-loaded.
  • Click "Toggle" to switch to first person.
  • Click "Unload" when you want to go back to the normal camera.
  • PLAY WITH FRIENDS: You can use this in private matches only if the match length is set to unlimited time. This is an anti-cheat check that prevents anyone from using the plugin in any competitive online matches, but allows you to use it in private matches.

KNOWN BUGS:

  • Some car bodies will clip through the camera.
  • Audio cuts out.
  • Transitioning in and out of ballcam looks weird. If it becomes too annoying then set your camera's transition speed higher.

First Person installation

1. If you recieve a prompt asking to open "Open plugininstaller.exe", click "Open" to install the plugin with BakkesMod

2. A black window will open to tell you the installation status

3. When the black window tells you it's finished, you're ready to start using the plugin!

First Person installation

  1. Find your BakkesMod installation location
    • This will be found by opening the BakkesMod Injector window and going to the top menu, clicking "File -> Open BakkesMod Folder"
  2. Copy the downloaded ZIP's files to the same locations in the BakkesMod folder.
  3. After copying the files, launch Rocket League and ensure the plugin works by opening the F6 console and typing plugin load [plugin DLL file name]
  4. If the plugin works, in the BakkesMod folder edit the "cfg/plugins.cfg" file with notepad. At the very bottom, add a new line with the content plugin load [plugin DLL file name]
